Back to Reality

Well, what a summer. I think total I was home in Delaware for two weeks? It was a quick, very eventful, but fun summer. We wrapped up our time before I had to go back to school and Jackson went back to Jackie's with a trip to Texas and Florida. It was a quick 12 day trip, but it was great to get down south and see family. Here are some pictures I took while we were down there. As you can tell, as Jackson gets older it seems I have started taking less and less photos. I need to be better about this!!! (Plus, I was really relying on grandparents to take pictures! I know they took plenty!)

Jackson making a silly face at Paka in Aunt Jane's garage.

This is how the Wilkinson's spend warm summer afternoons - sitting in a garage and this time watching the rain.

Jackson and Nana at Pensacola Beach getting ready to fly the Buzz Lightyear kite!

Jackson using the many sand digging toys. But heaven forbid we get near the water while at the beach!

We had a great trip, but both Jackson and I were ready to get back to Delaware to see Brandon who had been busily working in the lab while we were gone. I started back to school a few weeks ago and the kids are great this year. We're off to a great school year and hoping that it goes smoothly like last.

Weather is starting to level off and this week we are suppose to be in the mid-70s all week! I am very ready for fall and looking forward to the leaves changing and enjoying probably our last fall in Delaware. Jackson already has his Halloween costume - Buzz Lightyear pajamas that we got at Walmart. We get multiple uses out of them and they are a big hit with him. Whatever works!

Jackson's big day is tomorrow - he'll turn 3. He's very proud that he can tell you how old he will be at that he is going to have a Curious George party at Chick-fil-a. He really is getting big and starting to talk so much more! The last few weeks have been milestones for us - Jackson is now officially potty trained! That was a huge deal - we haven't had any accidents in about 5 days and things are definitely heading in the positive direction. Just not sure how we're going to stop giving him toys for pooping on the potty :) We started it and it worked, but now what???!? Oh well - it definitely has been worth it. And he has expanded his Cars matchbox cars. He has a whole little town of them now!!

I plan to update a little more frequently now that I am more on a routine. Just getting back into the swing of things has been very nice. Work is not that much fun, but at least we have a schedule! Birthday party next Saturday I will most definitely have an update on!! Look for it soon!
